Went to eat there and discovered they have moved into the old Reel cajun location at 347 and Jimmy Johnson, they are no longer on Jimmy Johnson next to golf course. New location is bigger and better, I loved it.

We come here all the time. I highly recommend Raven as your bartender. She is personable, gets the order correct (every single time), and is always smiling and happy. Not to mention, a really great person to talk to when you're at the bar. She also makes great drinks and always makes sure to come check on you. You will never have an empty drink with Raven Butler.

I have never had a bad meal picking up take-out from Tia Juanitas Fish Camp in Port Arthur, TX. I first tried it two years ago visiting family in the area, and I asked a local friend: What is the best gumbo in town that had a dark roux? His answer: Tia Juanitas. Once I tried their seafood gumbo, I have never looked back and go there every time I am in town. I was just visiting family for the new year, and of course, I had to get my Tia Juanitas fix. I usually get a shrimp quesadilla (also they have great guacamole) and seafood gumbo on the side, but this time, my partner and I decided to try the Po'boys. We both got Po'boy combos, so it comes with half a Po'boy, fries (or potato salad if you prefer), and then a small bowl of gumbo. I didn't even remember to take a picture of the gumbo and ate it all up. If you have Cajun cooks in your family who are picky, even they will appreciate this gumbo. The fried Shrimp Po'boy was awesome and had a ton of shrimp for a half-Po'boy. My partner's grilled fish Po'boy wasn't as good grilled (just a little plain), so I would go for fried of blackened instead. Also their Po'boys are probably better to eat in the restaurant right fresh because the bread got a little soggy, but we had to take it to go. Overall, Tia Juanitas Fish Camp keeps up its consistently great, authentic Cajun with a Tex Mex twist food on each visit. I will definitely be back again later this year!
